Quimet i Quimet for quick tapas and La Bella Napoli for a great Italian meal, in Poble Sec!

On this post Quimet Quimet and La Bella Napoli.
Continuing with Poble Sec, you have a small bar but very much worth visiting. On calle Poeta Cabanyes 25, a hole in the wall, you have Quimet i Quimet. Try to go outside of peak hours, early evenings or at noon. Opening hours: Mon-Sat 12 pm - 4 pm. Mon-Fri 7 pm - 10:30 pm.
On a Friday night you will need elbowing to get a place to stand and you need to catch the eye of the great people behind the counter, to pass your order.
If you are a vegetarian just tell them so and they will prepare you montaditos (mini toast with toppings). You will taste a mix of sweet and salt: some cream cheese with plums or some olive paste, caramelized onions and leeks. The list goes on. Their signature one is the yogurt and salmon topped with truffle honey. Everything comes out of cans to prepare these beautiful little mountains, to offer you an explosion of flavors.
It is really a closet size place with walls of bottles. They also offer you their own beer Quimet i Quimet.

Behind the counter

Chips with a drizzle of honey and the breads!

Great veg montadito, with blue cheese, red peppers, green olive tapenade and balsamic vinegar!

 Wonderful Cheese

Walking around the area you will pass by some interesting little bars.
You also have a great place where you can go for a nice family dinner or with a group of friends. One of the best Italian in town: "La Bella Napoli", on calle Margarit 14. Always busy and full, many Barça players and other celebrities also go have their fabulous pasta and pizzas there. The service is quick, friendly and efficient. Try their truffle pizza. I would highly recommend this place for a nice Italian meal.
