December is here & the festive mood is on, with the lights & the buzz. I love it.
While in Barcelona, it's easy to escape for a weekend and we have a week of semi holidays between the day of constitution & the day of the immaculate conception; on the first week of December.
We chose Montpellier, a city in southern of France. Unlike many southern cities in France it doesn't have any roman heritage but doesn't lack in charm. It's a student town due to its many universities and the beach is 10km away.
Around 3 hours drive, it's a nice way to disconnect and get a feel of "Noël en France". Walking in the tiny lanes, having a glass of rosé, some great cheeses; getting lost in the crowd in their charming Christmas Market: it was just perfect!

Limited veg options but yummy: Grilled camemeber & salad, Potage de légumes AT CAFÉ DE LA MAIRIE. CHECK the ambiance on the above pictures. Loved this place. |

A GREAT MEAL AT LA FINE MOUCHE! It's a tiny store with a heated terrace but it serves the best cheese ever. Excellent Fromagerie. |
