Discovering new places in Barcelona...

Here I come with 4  different restaurants that I discovered recently.
The elegant Parker Café, the cool Koko Restaurant, the famous Cecconi's and a different Italian, Due Spaghi.

  • Parker Café is in the Eixample; its interior is elegant and inviting. I went for lunch and had the lunch menu for 12 €. A great lunch, tasty dishes, beautifully served in the pretty café; it offers Mediterranean fusion cuisine. It’s open everyday from 8 am onwards, offers breakfast, lunch & dinner. It has live music on weekend nights and offers brunch on the weekends.Perfect for a lunch with friends, a cozy dinner or for brunch. It has a great vegetarian variety.(around 20-25 €pp, offers group menus)

  • Cecconi’s just opened in Barcelona. Part of Soho House, it is open to the public unlike the Soho House club where you can only access if you are a member.  Cecconi’s originated in Venice and serves hand-made pasta, seafood, and dishes from Northern Italy using the best ingredients. In addition to the flagship restaurant in Mayfair, London, Cecconi’s has outposts in West Hollywood, Miami Beach, Berlin and Istanbul; and now in Barcelona. It is nice, we went during the soft opening, the staff is friendly and helpful but the vegetarian options are limited. It is an Italian restaurant with a well known back ground but we shouldn’t forget that Barcelona has an excellent offer of Italian food, so they have lots to compete with.Open everyday, they have an all day menu as well as a special brunch on Sundays.

  • And here is Due Spaghi, opened a couple of years back, I discovered it a couple of month back. It offers North Italian cuisine with some Catalan touches. It isn't the typical Italian food you are used to. It is more mountain food and offers slow food- which means the  ingredients are from the area. The starters are good and their main are a bit limited in the vegetarian aspect. The interior is simple and direct. They offer a lunch menu for 15€. (A la carte 30/40€)
