Splash of originality with natural products at Cometa Pla!



Pla a restaurant whose identity is the traditional cuisine in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona and Bar del Pla to enjoy Tapas with quality products in the Born , are two local restaurants  by Jaume Pla. He embarked recently on a new adventure with the opening of the Bar a Vins: Cometa Pla.
On this occasion, the offer is based on ecological product, and an appealing wine list to accompany them. Great natural wines and ecological, the majority from Catalunya , some from the France Provence. 
Located in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, Cometa Pla uses Bio & Eco products and offers Healthy Food. The products are taken to another dimension once they pass by the hands of the chef, the flavors are enhanced to offer us fine dishes.
The team is headed by Giuseppe Padula, chef with experience at  Espai Sucre, Comerç 24 or Restaurant El Pla and has stayed in various European towns; Mauro, the Argentinian sous chef specializes in vegan cuisine.  
The head in the dining room is Pilar Campos.
Cometa Pla has a dynamic and flexible offer, thus, the menu depends on the seasonal product.  It is not a vegetarian restaurant, but vegans & vegetarians can have a feast as well as the others.
You enjoy freshness & flavors in their original dishes.
I loved it, it is small and cozy and perfect for a special date where you want to try something different; simple straight ambiance, nordic touches & an open kitchen.

One Natural wine with a peculiar taste & one Eco wine: both different and yet each with a story. 


The Special dish at Cometa Pla! A must : Caramelized onion tatin with Burrata mousse & courgette flowers!


A very interesting cereals bag with veggies & seaweeds  in a miso broth. Filled with earthy flavors and energy! 


Exotic cheesecake, anis infused watermelon & chocolate, olive oil, salt & toast : All the desserts were yummy!
