Rilke, fine dining in a luxurious apartment.

This space was known years back as the famous Beltxenea and previously as Amalur.

I didn't know any of them so I went with no expectations nor knowledge of what would be there and  I discovered a magical space: Rilke, named after the Austrian bohemian poet.
This luxury apartment in the Eixample has all of Barcelona’s enchanting details as well as a wonderful Bar, a beautiful garden and speakeasy rooms. The young entrepreneurs of the group Confiteria (bar Paradiso)  and the owners of the Kafka Group  are behind this project meanwhile   chef Rafa Peña is in charge of the gastronomy. The have rescued some antique bottles of liquors & the delicate crockery.
The well-known chef Jaime Tejedor is in charge of the kitchen.
I loved the space: the entrance is in a typical old flat, you are welcome in the  beautiful bar and the restaurant has different cozy corners and an incredible patio. The cocktails are great, the wine list is very complete and the service is very attentive. The classic Catalan cuisine is interpreted in a modern way and the dishes are great. They are flexible and can prepare you a vegetarian menu; I had gone the first month it opened so the vegetarian dishes weren’t too elaborated as yet, but I have been told that they have improved.
Definitely worth a visit, it is the most beautiful restaurant in town.
