Once more shopping. I usually intend to post on some original and unique stores but this one is about the well know fashion label H&M. Today they are opening their huge flagship store in Barcelona. on Passeig De Gracia 11.
H&M was born in Sweden in 1947. They offer fashion &
quality in a sustainable way. The group includes other brands such as: &
Other Stories, Cheap Monday, Cos, Monki, Weekday & H&M Home.
It came to Spain in 2000.
This new store offers all the collections under one roof and
is one of the biggest in the word. You will get H&M Women, Maternity wear, Men,
Sportswear, Children, Cosmetics, Lingeries & accessories. H&M Home also
has its space.
The space is inspired by art galleries and has plants around
their light parquet or marble, green, white black, cognac: a palette of earthy
colors.
It is also their first store that incorporate a gastronomic
space: Flax and Kale. Gastronomy & fashion work hand to hand to offer
sustainable products, and healthy food.
Flax and Kale à porter has created a whole space of “grab & Go” sandwiches and juices. FLAX
& KALE X H&M: A unique collaboration in a 200m2 space where both the
brands have the same values.
A fantastic space to have a bite while shopping.
The pre-opening was on February 1st 2017
coinciding with the 080 Barcelona Fashion week to combine culture &
fashion, and the local emphasis you see on the 080 catwalks. We were around 1000 guests, drinks and food flew in harmony with shopping. For once, I got some food in one of this event as the catering was almost vegetarian thanks to Flax and Kale.
Today, February 3rd is the inauguration. The 50
first people to enter will get a gift voucher and the ones that will be present
during the opening ceremony will get a 20%discount.
During the 3rd & 4th , you will get special
activities such as: beauty stylist coaching, barber shop for men, Instagram
Vending machines & workshop for kids.
I know that many have an issue with these international
brands opening in these huge emblematic spaces in Barcelona, but I guess it is
better to have a store there than an empty closed space that doesn’t favour the
esthetic of the city.
We still have small cute stores in Gracia,
Sarria , the Gothic & The Born districts.
