Hoja Santa! The fine Mexican by Albert Adria!

Finally the long awaited exclusive Mexican by the hand of none other than Albert Adria in collaboration with its Mexican head chef Paco Mendez opened its doors few weeks back. Sharing the entrance with the more informal and buzzing Taqueria Niño Viejo, Hoja Vieja is behind the curtain and reminds you of those clandestine restaurants. A very quiet and posh atmosphere, with the service playing their function in harmony with the decor. You can see the open kitchen and observe all the process of your gourmet dishes.

It was a bit complicated for us vegetarian but they managed to serve us an interesting meal with very authentic and peculiar Mexican flavors. It is quite different from the Mexican we had been before in Barcelona.
It is perfect for a very special occasion where you can enjoy Mexican food without the buzz we are used to.
Around 80e plus per head.
