Enjoying in New York!

New York once more! This time in summer, and it was fun.
We stayed in New Jersey and drove to New York;  everyday driving on the bridge and admiring the silhouette of Manhattan approaching was magical.

We were around the Columbia University during a couple of days as we needed to be there.
We had meals around there, simple and nothing extravagant but you get the feel of being a student in that city.
-Max SoHa (Italian) on Av Amsterdam just behind Columbia University.Quality food in a cozy place.
 - Oillie's (cheap Chinese american). On 2957 Broadway. Perfect warm meal for atudents.
 - Tom's diner (greek-american owned) and very popular among the students. On 2880 Broadway.

-We also strolled around Soho, discovering new stores and cute lanes. We went to the Dominique Ansel Bakery, the birthplace of the cronut. I was told I had to go at 6am to get a cronut. I did not. I got a couple on a Sunday morning around 11am. They were good, fine taste and crusty. I tried the frozen s'mores too, it was an interesting concept biting into warm and chewy marshmallow to find some ice-cream, but it was too sweet for my taste.

- We also discovered Brooklyn! To do so take the tube and get off at Bedford. Follow the crowd on a Saturday morning. Don't go too late to avoid the long queues at Smorgasburg flea food market on weekends! I loved it. There's a mix of international cuisine offering unique dishes.
We shopped and loved the Artist and Fleas Market at Williamsburg; open on Saturdays and Sundays.
Urban Outfitters was also nearby, it is opening soon in Barcelona. You have various ones all over the USA but the one in Brooklyn, Williamsburg is a unique retail concept store called Space ninety 8. It has original items, a great café and a rooftop bar.
On the same lane, 6th street, you have Sea Thai. A beautiful restaurant for an asian meal or a great cocktail during their happy hour.
