Quiero Rayos de sol tumbada en la arena: Santorini and Mykonos!

Oia Santorini
Santorini, 200 km away from Greece's mainland is a pretty and wonderful island to go and relax. Once a volcanic island it has left some fantastic cliffs and stunning scenery. Fira is the city center, with the little lanes, wonderful jewelry stores, steps and donkeys; all the cruise ships anchor down and you climb on the donkey to go up or down the stairs.
Oia, is what you see on all the postcards, it is just so beautiful. Nice to go in the evening for the sunset, walking and shopping.
We stayed in Vychlada, it is as though you are alone in the world, no noise no cars, nothing, just relax and enjoy... The beaches of Santorini are  different due to their special geographical features.  You have  the famous Red beach, which is a bit difficult to access but beautiful and a must go;  and the black beaches; with their volcanic pebbles. Perissa, Kamari and Perivolos are the most popular.

We took the ferry from Santorini to Mykonos. Mykonos is a different island, more of a party island filled with people and music. We stayed in the city center Chora, at the Leto hotel. You would need to rent a car, a quards or a scooter, to enjoy this small fun island. Some great party beaches: I loved Nammos . Nammos is in the Psarou beach. It is quite crowded, their lunch is good and the music is great, NAMMOS). Book your beds and lunch. Nice food with a Mediterranean and a sushi menu, great cocktails and cool music. http://www.nammos.gr/: (+30) 2289022440. Solymar, on the Kalo Livadi Beach, is the same style.http://www.solymar.gr/

You can enjoy those beaches with older kids otherwise you have more family oriented beached in Psarou beach and other beaches.
Another beautiful beach was the Agio Sostis Beach. Beware, no umbrellas, no beach beds, a bit of walking before reaching and having breathtaking views, blue water and golden sand. You could have a late lunch at Kiki. It is a simple traditional food, but quite popular, we didn't get a chance to go as there was a long queue and you can't book it.

Walking around town, you will pass some nice restaurants in little Venice and around. You can then go for a drink, and to some discos. Party goes on the full night. If you are travelling with children, you can still enjoy this beautiful island. And don't miss the great greek yoghurt ice-cream!
A must is the sunset at Caprice bar. You just have to go. You can do some shopping too, Mykonos has really nice stores. Most of them are located on the main street (Matogiannia).

Mykonos has become one of my favorite vacation spot and Nammos my favorite party beach.
