La Taverna Del Clinic, a wonderful surprise!

You may think the Taverna del clinic, is a bar del barrio situated near the clinic, yes and No. It is situated near Hospital Clinic, it is a sort of bar but it is much more than that. I had heard wonders about this place and I finally went. The Taverna opened in 2006 and is a family business. This year they went under a huge change with an ampliation and renovation. The 2 Simoes brothers, one chef and other somelier have both a an excellent formation and have a dynamic and well trained team with them.

At the entrance you have a normal bar, always buzzing.The interior part has a difference ambiance, dim and a cozy setting. Tavern del Clinic is a 2 concepts in one , a bar and a restaurant. The bar is fun to have a bite and a beer, you also have tables where you can enjoy a nice meal; and you have the typical spanish bar atmosphere. Inside it is a different story, you have private corners and special tables; a cozy ambiance. Their kitchen is "a la vista".
Refined and elegant, served in style and cared about all the details, their dishes are beautiful and palatable.
The service is dedicated and polished.
Their wine list comes on a tablet.
They have a very good and extensive wine and champagne list.
This place is perfect for a very special dinner. Fine plates, great wine and wonderful desserts.
For vegetarians you have few and excellent options.
Very recomendable. Closed on Sundays. Around 40e pp.
