Love is in the air!

This is a post to celebrate love.
Two options for a romantic meal at Bardot, one of my all time favorite or at El Mercader Del Eixample, a new discovery. 
One option for great cocktails at a speakeasy bar : El Paradiso and a wonderful french café perfect for a cozy meal at Madeleine Mon Amour.

• Bardot, is a cozy restaurant, a french style bistro serving catalan cuisine with a twist. The service is excellent and their wine list is extensive and wonderful. • El Mercader de L'Eixample just opened a month back in this british style house. It's a small restaurant offering ecological products and KM 0 food. I just discovered it and loved it. They  always have some vegan/vegetarian options in their Catalan cuisine. Their terrace is just so pretty and the interior is cozy with the kitchen à la vista. They also have an interesting small private hall downstairs for 20 people. • In the Borne you will pass by a casual sandwich place called the Pastrami Bar. They serve wonderful bites by Rooftop Smokehouse  -a food truck you might have seen in some food markets. In this small space you will see a fridge, and you will see people disappearing behind. Here comes this speak easy bar: El Paradiso. The speakeasy bars were born in The Usa during the prohibition years. El Paradiso is this elegant wooden bar with the most delicious and incredible cocktails, you can also accompany them with  wonderful smokey bites. Perfect for a secret date. C/ Rera Palau, 4

• I had discovered them in the Palo Alto Market. It was just a sample of the wonderful  little french corner they have in poble Nou: Madeleine Mon Amour. I loved the salon de Thé, and had madeleine à la Proust among other delicacies. Soak your madeleine in your hot chocolate and be in heaven. Wonderful lunch menu with salads and succulent savory madeleines, nice wines, champagne and cheeses.
