LaBarra! Around Francesc Macia! Chic and trendy!

We were walking around and found this restaurant. On Comte D'Urgell, just opposite the Gas Station. We entered and were pleasantly surprised, a very interesting and picturesque decoration with their different size table and lamps, a huge bar, some cozy tables at the end  (the tables for 2 are adorable but a bit too close to each other). Their menu is interesting  with different dishes from the diverse regions of Spain, like the "papas arrugadas" for example; some dishes from different parts of Europe like the mini Swiss Fondue!  The dishes are presented in an innovative style.
There is a DJ and after 11.30pm , the lights dim, the open kitchen hides itself and this restaurant becomes a wonderful lounge. We will surely go back soon, for their lunch menu, some tapas or a Gin Tonic from their extensive drinks menu.
Great for dinner in a group or for drinks after dinner. Open everyday from12.30pm to 1 or 2 am. Their kitchen is open till midnight. They also offer a lunch menu with a large variety of fresh products from 10.80 to 14.80 euros from Monday to Friday. LaBarra is soon going to offer us breakfast and more. Look out for their new propositions. It first opened in St Cugat more than a year back and they are quite successful there. We now have it in Barcelona on C/Comte D'Urgell, 240. Tel: 93 532 76 14
