In the Born, you always find some little
interesting store. In the calle Sombrerers 23, you will come across this
picturesque and aromatic shop: Casa Gispert.
It is bursting with nuts, coffees, spices, saffron,
chocolates and more. They roast the best nuts in a traditional and original
oven dating from 1851, unique in Europe.
This one and half century old store will take you back in time in a
special atmosphere with loving people to serve you. All traditionally made by
hand!
You can visit their old oven and on weekdays,
especially on Tuesdays, you can see the nuts roasting.
In 1999, the prestigious French association Les
Gourmands Associés granted the Coq d'Or prize to Casa Gispert. The distinction
rewards the exceptional quality of the products in the store, and the
recognition of being one of the 10 best food artisans in Europe.
You can purchase nuts for home or for gifting, they pack it very beautifully.
